Refreshing Mint Lemonade made with a homemade rose water-infused simple syrup and fresh mint, blended with lemon juice and water for a perfectly balanced, cool drink ideal for warm days.

Ingredients

Simple Syrup

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon rose water

Lemonade

  • 3½ cups water
  • 1 cup lemon juice (about 5-6 lemons)
  • 1 ounce fresh mint

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine ½ cup granulated sugar and ½ cup water. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Stir occasionally until the sugar is fully dissolved and the syrup thickens slightly but remains clear, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in 1 tablespoon rose water. Set the syrup aside to cool completely.
  2. Blend Lemonade Base: In a high-speed blender, combine 3½ cups water, 1 cup fresh lemon juice, and 1 ounce fresh mint leaves. Blend until the mixture is smooth and the mint is fully incorporated, creating a vibrant green lemonade base.
  3. Combine and Serve: Pour the blended mint and lemon mixture into a large pitcher or individual serving glasses. Add the cooled rose water simple syrup and stir thoroughly to combine all flavors. Serve chilled, optionally with ice cubes and garnished with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices for an extra refreshing touch.

Notes

  • To balance sweetness and tartness, adjust simple syrup or lemon juice amounts to taste.
  • Rose water adds a floral note; omit if unavailable or substitute with a few drops of orange blossom water for a different floral flavor.
  • Fresh mint enhances the aroma and freshness—use more for a bolder mint taste.
  • For a sparkling version, replace some or all of the water with sparkling water just before serving.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated in a covered container for up to 2 days for best freshness.
