This Iced Caramel Coconut Mint Latte is a refreshing and flavorful cold coffee drink that combines the coolness of fresh mint, the tropical essence of coconut, and the sweetness of caramel. Perfect for a quick, energizing treat on warm days, this latte balances bold coffee flavors with creamy milk and aromatic mint, topped with whipped cream, shredded coconut, and a drizzle of caramel sauce for an indulgent finish.

Ingredients

Mint and Coffee

  • 15 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 ⅓ cups cold brew or chilled strong coffee

Flavorings and Milk

  • ½ teaspoon coconut extract
  • ½ cup whole milk

Toppings and Garnish

  • 1 can whipped cream (optional topping)
  • 3 ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon sweetened shredded coconut
  • Caramel sauce (as garnish)

Instructions

  1. Muddle Mint: Place 14 of the fresh mint leaves in a glass and gently muddle them to release their natural oils and flavor, leaving one mint leaf aside for garnish. This step infuses the coffee with fresh mint essence.
  2. Add Coffee: Pour 1 ⅓ cups of cold brew or chilled strong coffee into the glass with the muddled mint. Stir well to combine the flavors.
  3. Strain Coffee: Pour the mint-infused coffee through a fine mesh strainer into another glass to remove the mint pieces. Discard the strained mint.
  4. Add Extract and Milk: Stir in ½ teaspoon of coconut extract and ½ cup of whole milk to the strained coffee, blending the tropical coconut flavor with creamy milk.
  5. Add Ice: Add 3 ice cubes to the glass to chill the latte and enhance its refreshing quality.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Top the latte with a generous swirl of whipped cream (optional). Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sweetened shredded coconut over the whipped cream, drizzle caramel sauce on top, and garnish with the reserved fresh mint leaf for a beautiful presentation.

Notes

  • Use good quality cold brew or strong chilled coffee for best flavor.
  • Adjust coconut extract quantity depending on your preference for coconut flavor intensity.
  • Whole milk can be substituted with milk alternatives like almond or oat milk for a different twist.
  • Whipped cream is optional but adds a creamy, indulgent texture.
  • For a vegan version, use plant-based milk and coconut whipped cream.
  • Make sure to strain the coffee well to avoid mint leaf fragments in your drink.
