Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 – 3/4 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic or garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon granulated onion or onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt, adjust to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1-3 teaspoons fresh lemon juice or white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a small bowl, add mayonnaise, sour cream, dried dill weed, dried parsley, dried chives, granulated garlic, granulated onion, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
  2. Whisk Thoroughly: Whisk all the ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and the herbs are evenly distributed.
  3. Add Acidity: Stir in 1 to 3 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice or white vinegar, adjusting according to your taste preference for tanginess.
  4. Refrigerate: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the dip for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  5. Serve and Store: Serve chilled with fresh vegetables, chips, or as a spread. Store in the refrigerator, tightly covered, for up to one week.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of dill weed based on your flavor preference, starting with 1/4 teaspoon and increasing up to 3/4 teaspoon.
  • For a lower fat version, substitute mayonnaise and sour cream with light or reduced-fat options.
  • If you prefer a smoother dip, you can blend the mixture briefly.
  • Use fresh herbs if available, substituting dried herbs at a 1:3 ratio (fresh to dried).
  • Feel free to customize with additional spices like paprika or cayenne for a different twist.
