Delicious Snow Crab Legs cooked in a rich and flavorful garlic butter sauce, perfect for an elegant yet easy seafood dinner. This recipe highlights tender crab meat infused with aromatic garlic and parsley, enhanced by a buttery glaze that’s simple to prepare on the stovetop.

Ingredients

Crab Legs

  • 1 pound Snow Crab clusters, thawed if necessary

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ teaspoons dried parsley
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crab Legs: Cut a slit, length-wise, into the shell of each piece of crab. This allows the butter sauce to penetrate the meat and makes it easier to enjoy.
  2. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until it becomes translucent, about 1 to 2 minutes, stirring occasionally to avoid burning. Stir in the dried parsley, freshly ground black pepper, and salt. Continue heating the mixture until it bubbles gently.
  3. Cook the Crab Legs: Add the crab legs to the skillet and toss well to coat all pieces evenly with the garlic butter sauce. Simmer the crab legs in the sauce for 5 to 6 minutes, or until they are completely heated through, allowing the flavors to meld.
  4. Serve: Remove from heat and serve the crab legs hot, spooning extra garlic butter sauce over them if desired. Enjoy this flavorful seafood dish immediately for the best taste.

Notes

  • Thaw crab legs completely if frozen before cooking for even heating.
  • The slit in the shell makes cracking easier and helps the butter soak in.
  • You can add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving for a citrusy brightness.
  • Use fresh garlic for a more pungent flavor; dried garlic can be substituted but will yield a milder taste.
  • Adjust salt and pepper to taste, especially if serving with salted sides.
